Dr. Ravin Gore-Overby

Dr. Ravin Gore-Overby, Ed.D. is a mother, sister, daughter author & life-long learner. She spends her day as an Assistant Professor/Major Coordinator of Organizational Management at Voorhees College and as a Consultant/Coach at Korn Ferry Global Organization Consulting Firm. She holds a B.S. in Geography from UNC-Charlotte, a Master’s in Public Administration from North Carolina Central University and a Doctorate in Education in Organizational Leadership from Grand Canyon University. She will soon complete her Executive Coaching Certification and focus on Women’s Leadership Development through Mentoring and Coaching.

She is the author of, Secrets, Strategies and Superpowers of a Successful Woman, created to help woman find their voice, live out loud & take up space. Her dissertation research, The Effectiveness of Woman Leadership Development Programs for Women in Christian Higher Education, is also a catalyst to her desire to see leadership development provided at to Women globally.

Dr. Ravin is an avid education enthusiast and loves helping women tap into their love of learning and development also. She is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and a member of Pi Alpha Alpha (ΠΑΑ or PAA), national honor society for Public Administration. Dr. Ravin enjoys developing her SME in areas of Education, Mentoring, Consulting and Organizational Management. When she is not writing and wearing one of her many hats, she enjoys reading, dancing and spending time with her favorite young men, (Jeremiah, Josiah and R.J.) She is excited to share, her presentation The Lioness Mentality: Women who assist in the creation of other Women Leaders.

Dr. Eyiwumi Bolutito Olayinka is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of European Studies, Faculty of Arts at the University of Ibadan, a position she has held since 2020. Beyond her academic responsibilities, Dr. Olayinka has been actively involved in community service. She served as President of the University of Ibadan Women’s Society and Chair of Bode Amao Crèche, Nursery, and Primary School from 2015 to 2020. She is also a member of the Agro Impact Projects Empowerment Initiative, where she has served on the think-tank and Board of Trustees since 2016. Additionally, she has contributed to university administration, including roles such as Member of the Departmental Finance Committee, Staff Advisor for the Cercle Français and Association of Students of European Studies, Deputy Coordinator of the Distance Learning Programme, and Secretary of the Editorial Board for the Ibadan Journal of European Studies.
Her academic contributions extend to curriculum review and organizing academic conferences. She was part of the Postgraduate School Teaching Proficiency in English (TPE) Curriculum Review Committee and served as Secretary of the Local Organizing Committee for the 18th Annual Conference of the University French Teachers’ Association of Nigeria. Dr. Olayinka has also received recognition for her scholarly work, having held a research assistantship from 2010 to 2012 at the University of Ibadan Postgraduate School. She is a member of several learned societies, including the West Africa Research and Innovation Management Association (WARIMA), the African Literature Association, and the Asian-African Association for Women, Gender, and Sexuality.
She began her academic career as an Assistant Lecturer in 2012. Dr. Olayinka holds a B.A. (Hons) in French from Ondo State University, an M.A. in French Studies, a Ph.D. in French and Francophone Studies, and a Master of Managerial Psychology, all from the University of Ibadan. Dr. Olayinka’s dedication to both her academic field and the broader university community has made her an influential figure at the University of Ibadan.

We welcome stories that highlight the power of women, address important issues, and offer insights into practices and possibilities for a better future.

The deadline for submissions is October 31, 2024. All submissions will undergo a review process by the conference board, and selected storytellers will be notified within 10 days. If you are selected, you will be informed about the further process and the applicable registration fees
