The 2nd International Conference on Future of Women’19 was organized by The International Institute of Knowledge Management (TIIKM), Sri Lanka in collaboration with the Vasanta College for Women – Admitted to the Privileges of Banaras Hindu University, India as the Hosting Partner. The Allameh Tabataba’i University, Iran, University of Peshawar, Pakistan and Khon Kaen University, Thailand are the academic Partners of the Conference.
INAUGURATION CEREMONY
The Conference was held on 14th – 15th February 2019 in Colombo, Sri Lanka under the theme “Voices of Women: Transition from Inspiration to Action”. Future of Women 2019 was chaired by Prof. Anita Singh from Centre for Women’s Studies and Development, Banaras Hindu University, India.
The opening remarks of Future of Women 2019 were made by Conference Chair Prof. Anita Singh (Centre for Women’s Studies and Development, Banaras Hindu University, India) together with Mr. Isanka P. Gamage (Managing Director, The International Institute of Knowledge Management).

The 2nd International Conference on Future of Women’19 was a great platform for academicians, researchers, women activists and delegates from worldwide and members of professional bodies to exchange their newest knowledge and discuss key issues.
Keynote forum was one of the most significant moments during the Conference and it was enlightened by two keynote speeches. The first keynote speech was delivered by Ruth Ostrow (Speaker, Writer & Presenter, Australia) on the topic “Inspiration to Action: Bridging the Gap”. The second keynote speech was delivered by Dr. Saundarya Rajesh (Social Entrepreneur, Founder & President – AVTAR Group, India) on the topic “Bridging the Gender Divide: Innovate to Include”.

BUSINESS WOMEN FORUM 2019
Business Woman Forum was happened on the first day of the 2nd International Conference on Future Women’ 19 and invited women leaders, women activists, scholars, scientists and all participants of the conference for an insightful discussion about “Women Entrepreneurship and Economic Development”. The forum was moderated by Mr. Lakshaman Bandaranayake (Chairman, Sarvodaya SEEDS).
The Forum discussed ways women are challenged and succeed in building their careers and growing their businesses. The panel topics were varying in order to ensure the inclusive activation of the female voice in business.

APPEAL TO THE WORLD
Appeal to the World was one of the significant campaigns happened at the 2nd International Conference on Future Women’ 19. It was consisted of Storytelling, Interview and blogs for women leaders, women activists, scholars, scientists and all participants of the conference. This was strived to bring together storytellers from every corner of the world which helped us learn about each other outside of the framework of a formal conference paper.
In the spirit of the ongoing work of building a global women’s movement, this storytelling session was fruitful for all the attendees, from women activists, advocates, academics, leaders, journalists, independent researchers and NGOs in Women’s studies and related fields.
