“It is impossible to think about the welfare of the world unless the condition of women is improved. It is impossible for a bird to fly on only one wing.” — Swami Vivekananda

We are delighted and honored to invite you to this International Conference on Future of Women ’18   in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia under the theme “A Prospect for Greater Vision.” In 2018 we are challenged to think about what constitute women and what should the next steps be for the women’s movement. More broadly, there is an increasing attentiveness towards — reproductive rights, women’s health and safety, workplace development and the fight against sexual harassment and violence, economic empowerment, literacy programs and increasing women’s presence in peace and security among others.  Our expressive concerns are Ending Violence, Reproductive Rights, L.G.B.T. Rights, Human Rights, Civil Rights, Disability Rights, Immigrant Rights, and Environmental Justice.

I will close with what Audre Lorde aptly said “There is no such thing as a single-issue struggle because we do not live single-issue lives”. I wish the participants a very fruitful and productive Sessions.
